Good afternoon
My sister was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and she had a full hysterectomy and chemotherapy. Her CA125 were at roughly 11 for several months but now they have started increasing to 20'and now 35. She did a scan and they suspect a recurrence in her bowel.
She is 49 and quite fit / healthy. My question is, is there a way for doctors to treat these relapses and make it a chronic illness? I cannot sleep and I am worried sick. I know she is the one who is ill but this is literally all I think about.
She needs to do another scan soon with dye injected in her veins to get a clearer picture.
Thanks
Frank
