Should I still book a gp appt

Hi,

since I last posted, the armpit and breast tenderness has eased quite significantly but I have developed a intense itch around my nipple - just on the one side. Should I still make an appt now my symptoms have eased? I don't want to waste anyones time??
lots of love x

  • Hi, I'd say yes, defo make that appointment...you won't be wasting anyones time x

  • Better to feel you've wasted someone's time than to regret not doing so at a later day. Your concerns are valid and you won't be wasting anyone's time. If for nothing else, for piece of mind. It's what the gp's are for, to spot a potential issue before that issue turns into a major problem.

  • Hello and thanks for posting again,

It probably isn't anything very serious, but if you are worrying, then make an appointment to speak with your GP.

In the meantime, apply some anti itching cream, or 1% hydrocortisone cream, twice a day, available from your local pharmacy. Wear loose fitting clothes, if you do exercise or sport, then also wear a supportive sports bra, as friction, sweat and irritation can make this more likely. Dermatitis is common.

If it clears up, then you can cancel your GP appointment.

    Hope that this helps,

    Vanda
