Hi Jen.A,
I am so very sorry to read what is going on and how you are feeling. As a moderator I'm unable to comment on the medical side of your post but what I can say is that after everything you have been through, I can't begin to imagine how difficult this must be however, if you are contending with suicidal thoughts please make sure you speak to someone about this.
Our nurses aren't available at the moment as they work Monday - Friday but I can see they provided you with the contact details for the Samaritans on Friday. If you don't have them to hand just now their phone number is 116 123 and they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are there to listen, without judgement, to anything you have to say or want to talk about and will do all they can to support you.
There is also another service called SHOUT who you can contact via text on 85258. They provide urgent support to anyone who is in a crisis or struggling to cope so if you feel more comfortable communicating this way then do reach out to them when you can. They will give you a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings and will work through them with you.
I can see you mentioned your sister in your post. Are you able to talk to her about how you are feeling at the moment? I'm sure she wouldn't want you to be going through this alone so maybe you could get in touch with her and let her know what is going on so she can support you at this time as well.
Our nurses will respond to your post when they return to work tomorrow but if you feel you are unable to keep yourself safe or need urgent support, please call 999. The mental health charity Mind have further information and advice on how to get help in a crisis on their website.
Again, I'm really sorry you are in such a difficult position at the moment but I hope you can take some strength, and comfort, from knowing that we are thinking of you and are sending you all our support at this incredibly challenging time.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
