What a predicament to find yourself in. The fact you have been offered MOHS means it is likely you have BCC. Although BCC grows very slowly the quicker it is removed the better. MOHS also gives the best cosmetic outcome. If you follow all the after surgery care instructions eventually the scar will be almost unnoticable. My face has many scars from skin grafts and standard surgery but these have faded over time so I understand your anxiety. It is highy likely you have other areas of sun damaged skin so be extra vigilant with protecting your skin. Wishing you a good outcome.
