I was diagnosed with atypical ductal hyperplasia after finding a dense lump in my breast. I am 44 and after vacuum assisted biopsy diagnosis was inconclusive with suspected DCIS. I had vacuum assisted excision done to investigate further, the results came back as ADH, the lump is 3,5 cm approximately. I am experiencing a variety of strange sensations in the lump: irregular intermittent (daily) pain, some burning, throbbing and prickly sensations. I wanted to ask if this is normal with my diagnosis? My consultant thinks the pain is related to possible hormonal changes. But it feels like it is to do with processes that are happening in the lump. I would appreciate any opinion and advice. Thank you!
