I am sorry to hear about your aching breast. Some cancers feed on Oestrogen which is a component of HRT, so many are advised to stop taking HRT. I am glad to see that you have an appointment on Monday and I'm sure that your consultant will give you the necessary advice then. Not all lumps are cancerous. Many turn out to be cysts or Fibroadenoma. It is a fact that only 20% of those who attend the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis.

 i was thinking of you yesterday and wonder how you fared at the breast clinic?

Ah thank you had had an examination, mammogram and ultrasound sound have a lot of glandular tissue in right one and a cyst but cyst looks fine   just go back if it’s gets sore or infected xx such a relief  knocks the stuffing out of you as some people in that unit aren’t as lucky 

I asked was it caused by hrt he said he couldn’t say either way but it’s like starting puberty again as your putting hormones in I really don’t know whether to stop taking it plus still in the back off mg mind mind im Thinking is it definitely a cyst

Hi Younga,

This is really great news! Now that you know that taking HRT is a risk for developing cancer, it is up to you to decide whether you want to continue taking it. Why not have a chat with your GP, before you decide?

I am sure that they wouldn't have told you that this was a cyst, unless they were certain from the tests you had.
