My 79 yo dad was referred by GP on a 10 day pathway on 15th May.  He had a phone consultation and a abdominal pelvic and lung ct booked along with a colonscopy.

Ct done 26th May 

Phone call 7pm Friday 29th May " you have a PE (pulmonary embolism) and you need to give self blood thinners !! Dad mentioned having colonscopy on 1st June so told start thinners after procedure.

Saturday 30th May dad deteriorated fast so I took A&E at Wigan Infirmary and he was blue lit to Manchester Royal Acute Cardiac Care.  Heart attack as PE migrated into heart.

We.were in hospital till 4th June where the cardiac team stated Ct showed metastic pancreatic cancer as well as a damaged heart but stated Cancer care is a Wigan issue not cardiac issue.

Discharged home 

He is now in my home as a 79 widower who can barely walk is not eating or drinking and we have no support, no named consultant or oncologist 

I took discharge papers to his GP on 5th June and now we are in no man's land.  

Dad is failing fast and I dont know what to do.
