You’re right that Tivdak (tisotumab vedotin) was recently recommended by NICE this month. However, there can sometimes be a short delay between an announcement being made and the treatment becoming routinely available on the NHS. The final NICE guidance is expected to be published on 12 June 2026, and this is when it should become more widely accessible.

In the meantime, Tivdak may be available through the Cancer Drugs Fund. This is a way of giving patients access to promising new cancer treatments while they are still in the process of being fully approved for routine NHS use.

Your consultant may have been referring to the current situation locally, as availability can vary slightly depending on how quickly services are set up to offer a newly approved treatment. They are the best person to talk through your treatment options with you again, including whether Tivdak might now be accessible in your circumstances.
