I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you have and that your diagnostic breast appointment has been delayed.

I can appreciate that this must be a worrying time for you, but until you have been seen by the breast unit and further tests such as imaging and biopsies have been taken no one can say for certain what is causing this.

Please remember that most breast lumps are not cancer.

Try to stay as calm as you can for now. Waiting and not knowing what’s going on can feel very worrying, so it can help to keep busy and do things you enjoy to pass the time.

If you can, talk to someone you trust like a partner, friend, or family member. It can really help to have support.
