I am sorry that we were unable to get back to you this morning before your husband had his appointment to drain his ascites.

I hope that you were both able to have the questions answered that were worrying you. It is difficult for the nurses to be too specific about a patient's particular cancer as we are not involved in their care nor do we have all the medical details.

If your husband has a specialist nurse do try and talk to them.

If your husband is newly diagnosed with cancer often his team wait to get all the results together and then they discuss his case in a formal meeting with all the doctors present.

I am not sure if this is the case with your husband.
