Hi Suereigate, I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I know it is scary when you hear the word cancer but you will be in good hands and the oncologist and care team will definitely do their best for you. I had a lumpectomy, then chemo and then radiotherapy. I am happy to chat as I normally look on here daily. The Macmillan forum also has a breast cancer forum and there is lots of support and information on there as everyone has the same kind of cancer. Do you have a date for your lumpectomy yet, it is normally a day case and you can go home afterwards. Good luck

It is important to reach out for help to ease you through this time. Do make your doctor and specialist team aware of how you are currently feeling so they can best support you.
