Rapid Endometrial Hyperplasia

Hi,

i recently posted I’ve had many appointments and biopsies when I was diagnosed with simple hyperplasia back in December. July rolled round after taking 30mg provera everyday and they brought me in very prompt and told me I have complex hyperplasia with atypia. The big H was recommended but as I’m only 33 years old, in a loving relationship with my husband and childless I decided on the conservative route. I had a coil fitted which rejected witching days into my cervix completely traumatised me and gave me an infection. We went for 400mg of provera started in August. 6th August a biopsy was taken. I went for a second urgent MRI in beginning of September bear in mind I had one 6 weeks earlier. With all the treatment I have been phoned this morning to tell me I have a Grade 1 endometrial adenocarcinoma. I have no idea what it all means’s and I have to go in on Thursday to speak to a surgeon. What should I be asking him my mind is completely blown when she said this is rare; I’m not responding to progesterone and it’s very rapid. This was all over the phone and I’m overwhelmed. Thanks all!

  • Hi there and thanks for your post

I am sorry to hear about your situation, this sounds like a anxious time for you and it is understandable you having questions.

It is important for now to take things one step a time and wait and see what he surgeon has to say at your appointment on thursday.

It will only be the team involved in your care who can explain exactly what this means for you and what needs to happen next.

From what you are saying it sounds like the team are wanting the very best for you and are arranging things as quick as possible.

Sit tight for now and I hope you are taking your husband with you on thursday so he can also listen to what is being said and ask any questions.

Please get back in touch any time or if you prefer give us a call on 0808 800 4040, weekdays 9-5 .

    Best wishes

    Naomi
