KRAS mutation found what does that mean ?

Hi

I could really do with some clarity please.

a new test result has appeared from one of the many ! However I had a right lower lobectomy on the 27th of August and some lymph nodes removed.

i am concerned that this now may mean I might need further treatment?

this test has come from a lung biopsy which was done back in July - I am still waiting for lymph nodes removed results .

could someone please explain it for me ?

  • Thank you. Just feeling a bit fatigued from the brain radiotherapy. On steroids which are now being reduced so mega lack of energy today. Definitely giving life a good go. I used to run and had just completed the London Marathon when I was diagnosed in May 2024 and I have managed to get back on my treadmill which makes me very happy. Will keep on keeping on and do what brings me joy every day. X

  • Doing the things that bring us joy is just perfection- I walk a lot , could never run  I walk 10miles at weekends, camping too , but all on hold for now - I celebrated today in my lovely blue socks a third walk round the block in one day - just love it x

  • Wow 10 miles that's impressive.  Having a temporary hold gives us breathing space. It's good for the soul to get outside and I have joined the Roy Castle Lung Foundation walk a mile a day in October challenge and signed up to do the Great North Run next year for Roy's Runners. Having a goal and purpose keeps me sane. Take care. X
