Pea sized lump on my vaginal wall - what could this be?

Hi I’m 28

Sorry I don’t normally do these sorts of things

Ive recently found a lump on my vaginal wall where roughly bladder would sit above, it’s about the size of a pea maybe a little smaller on the left, I’ve had lower back pain also on my right side for just over a year also and afew months ago my doctor told me I had high blood pressure, every so often I would have awful migraines but they have started over the past year too.

I guess I’m just concerned about the lump on the inside because I know it’s not a STI or STD because I haven’t had a partner in nearly 5 years but I was hoping a nurse could maybe give me some answers of benign things could be going on down their.

  • Hi there and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear you have felt a lump that is concerning you.

Whilst there could be several reasons for this lump no one here can say for sure what this is. It would be best to speak with your own GP so they can examine you just to be on the safe side.

As others have said bartholin cysts are common although tend to be on the opening outside part of the vagina. Cervical Polyps are also very common but as I say your doctor can assess you as to what this is.

I hope this helps and that you can get some peace of mind soon.

    Best wishes
