Eye freckles - worried about oculus melanoma

Hello I noticed a brown spot in my right eye, i googled and its come up with eye freckle getting anxious worried about melanoma.  i do suffer health anxiety and really struggle to think rationally.  my last eye test and scan was 18 months ago and nothing was said other than I'm short sighted but eyes look healthy.  I am of asian origion not sure if freckles are common i do have a lot of moles.  I couldn't find much on here about oculus melanoma. I know your probably can't help but I appreciate any support

    I’m sorry you are worried about a brown spot you have noticed in your eye. I  can understand you wanting to find out more.

    I'm afraid we are unable to diagnose or tell anyone if anything is the matter. While it’s possible that your symptoms are not related to cancer, it’s best to be safe and have yourself checked.

    Only a doctor can make a medical assessment so the best thing to do is to go  and see your GP .They will assess you and decide whether you need to go for tests.

    If you are experiencing difficulties in securing a GP appointment or if it is not available for some time, you might consider an appointment with an optician.

    I really hope you know more soon and that everything will be okay for you.

    I have had “brown spots/freckles” in my green eyes all my life!

    I would go have another eye test at your opticians. They will pick up if it's unusual & needs further examination. They will contact your GP who will refer you to the eye clinic at your local hospital (the optician can't refer you directly themselves). Hopefully your optician can put your mind at rest.
