Hi , I was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer 6 weeks ago.
I am getting used to it but get times when I’m quite anxious, especially at night and it’s stopping me sleeping properly .Anything you can suggest?
Many thanks

Hi Hurdleman
I suffer the same anxiety and insomnia. I'm not by nature a worrier or anxious person, but this disease does get to me at times and the demons seem to come at night. By daybreak and morning coffee a more balanced perspective returns but am exhausted for rest of the day from lack of sleep. Nurse Tina has provided some good advice worth following up. Talking to other people about it seems to help, for me anyway. I have supportive friends and family too. However the anxiety is mine and remains.

Thanks Ed , sounds very similar to my situation. Blessed with great support but when your head hits the pillow it’s just you and your mind racing..
Hopefully for both of us and all the rest in the same situation it will ease.
All my friends always said I’m the most laid back person they have ever met. How things change..
All the Best
