Hysteroscopy worries

I have been told I need a hysteroscopy due to thickening of the womb and cysts.Im 64 so post menopausal.I don't want it because I find any kind of invasive procedures down there very painful.Is it bad that I would rather take my chances than have this done?

    Hi.  I want to reassure you regarding the hysteroscopy you need. I had one at the end of December 2023 and I too was worried as my smear tests are so painful. The hysteroscopy wasn't painful at all. I hardly felt anything and the relief that all was ok was fantastic. Please don't put off having it done. It's better to know and deal with any problems sooner rather than later.
