Hi, I had my kidney removed 4 weeks ago and have a sickly sore pain in my stomach sometimes if I bend over slight it’s like a sharp pain. My consultant says it takes your insides 6 months too go back to normal. My back has Bern sore for the past 4 days too just trying to drink more water. I hope your husband gets some help. X

Sorry to hear you had a kidney op a few weeks ago and feeling some pains and discomfort. As your consultant has said it takes time for the body to heal and recover from surgery and it isn't unusual to feel some strange sensations and niggles along the way.

It is important to look after yourself as best you can and try not to over do it and avoid movements that cause you pain for a little longer.

I hope the back pain is improving now but if this worsens or you notice any other symptoms do let your doctor know, just to rule out an infection.
