Hello Nurses Team.
Please my younger Sister was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer last October 2024.
She had the lump removed in December 2024 from her right breast and has started 6months of Chemotherapy and has also been told she would have radiotherapy.
She has not shown me any letters from the Hospital and I am being mindful not to be too much in her face.
I am not sure if she said positive but there has been an aunt with breast cancer from her mother's side that passed away about 10yrs ago.
She is not my biological Sis but very close. I know its early days yet and am just wondering that at stage 2 is there a possibility that the cancer had spread that's why the aggressive treatment ? I am just worried that she might not be telling me everything
Wouldn't mastectomy would have been a better option for her for both breast and reconstructive?
Also after treatment how often can she safely have mamogram i?
Thank you
