Hi do you have a breast care nurse you could ask? They will be able to reassure you rather than wait for your appt at radiology. I am 1 week post op and have soreness on my inner arm but not close to where the lymph nodes were taken. 

I haven’t been assigned a breast care nurse directly . I think I will ring them though and ask .

Yes I get the nerve pain too. Thanks I did ring, they believe it’s side affects from tamoxifen medication that I have to be on  and should settle in 12 weeks .

Whilst you are healing from breast surgery different feelings and sensations can happen. As nerves and tissues come together, and the body heals it is good to be aware of what feels unusual. we also may notice more changes in our bodies than we normally would as our awareness is heightened, this is normal and to be expected. .

If you feel unwell or are concerned that you are not improving as the days pass then do contact your breast cancer nurses and explain what is happening. They will decide if these are symptoms that need reviewing an investigating further or if they are able to stick with seeing you in a few weeks time.
