Looking for people who have similar experience

A year ago, after not having periods for a year, I started to bleed. This lasted several weeks. The GP referred me and I had a scan, I was then sent for biopsy and thankfully it came back clear. The gynecologist put a coil in and I changed my hrt. It has been going well since.

Now, 1 year later, I have started to bleed again. GP sending me for another scan. Anyone had anything similar?

Thanks

  • As I noticed your post still hasn’t received a reply, I wanted to stop by and give you a warm welcome to Cancer Chat, Letushopenot.

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot over the past year, and I can imagine how unsettling it must be to face this situation again after things had been going well. On the positive side, it’s good to know your GP is arranging another scan to investigate further.

While I can’t provide medical advice, I hope you’ll hear from others in the community who may have had similar experiences and can share their insights.

If you’d like to speak to someone in the meantime, our team of nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm (except during Christmas hours).

I hope everything gets sorted out soon, Letushopenot, but if you need a chat, please remember we’re here for you.

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. I will consider the chat line if I need it. I have received a date for my scan next Friday.

  • Hi there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about the bleeding you are experiencing again and appreciate what a concern this must be for you.

Unfortunately no one here can say what the matter may be and the only thing that can tell you more is by going and getting the scan done, i'm afraid.

Even if others on here have experienced similar to you there are so many different causes for bleeding it is impossible to compare stories.

I hope you know more soon and that everything will work out okay for you.

    Take care

    Naomi
