bedsores medicine recommendations

My 75 year-old mother is battling breast cancer, which has unfortunately spread to her bones. She has been unable to move for over a year and is now suffering from advanced bedsores, classified as stage 3 or 4.

I’m seeking recommendations for effective medications or creams that could help heal her bedsores and improve her condition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I am so sorry to hear about Mum, her cancer diagnosis, and bed sores. They can be incredibly uncomfortable and difficult to deal with.

    We do have information on our website on dealing with pressure sores, but if Mum is at home the district nurse team normally deals with them sometimes alongside a tissue viability nurse, the GP, and the palliative care team. Do talk to her doctor about a referral if you do not think this has already happened.

    Together they will hopefully put together a plan to help Mum be as comfortable as possible.
