I am sorry to hear about the extensive surgery you needed to have last year and hope you have recovered from this.

The body is usually very good at repairing itself after surgery. Organs in the thoracic and pelvic region of the body are surrounded by connective tissues and other structures that protect and maintain the organs. When parts of organs are surgically removed this may result in some scar tissue to develop but otherwise these spaces will settle within the tissues and blood systems that normally reside in these places.
