The NHS has good information about predictive genetic tests for cancer risk genes on their website which also includes other lifestyle measures to reduce your overall lifetime risk.

Within that section is a link to current guidance on Brca1/2 by the NHS Trust Royal Marsden Hospital

Do try and get a steer from your hospital breast care team/GP on this. It may be that you now need to be referred to your local NHS breast screening centre/mobile service for ongoing mammograms, and not directly by the hospital now. The above guidance suggests yearly screening by mammogram or MRI depending on your age and breast density.
