Hi there,
I have had an oncotype test which returned a score of 19. The booklet I was given says chemo is beneficial if your score is 25 or more unless you are 50 or under in which case there's some benefit to chemo if your score is over 16. I'm 49 but the oncologist flat refused to consider chemotherapy saying that new research suggests patients are being over treated. He didn't actually have a discussion with me face to face, it was through the radiologist so I had no opportunity to ask questions. I find it really difficult to accept this when patient information says one thing but your doctor says another.
Are you able to give me a steer on this please?
Many thanks
