Lorlatynib.

Hello. Is lorlatinib available in the UK?

  • Hello Radzio and welcome, I am not a nurse, but I have a friend with NSCLC who is ALK positive and lorlatinib was mentioned as a option to follow on from her current treatment,  best wishes.

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

Lorlatinib is a treatment for non small cell lung cancer with an anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene change. It is also called ALK positive non small cell lung cancer.

In England on the NHS, you might have lorlatinib for non small cell lung cancer if you had treatment with an ALK targeted drug before and your cancer has started to grow again (progressed).

In NHS Scotland, you can also have lorlatinib for ALK positive advanced non small cell lung cancer previously not treated with an ALK targeted drug.

I am not sure about private practice prescribing for this drug.

    Hope this is useful.

    Best wishes,

    Vanda
