Did you get told on the day of your colonoscopy or did you have to wait for biopsy results?

Sister had 8 biopsies taken today but given no indication if they found anything sinister looking…

Symptoms, unexplained weight loss, blood & mucus in stool, a lot of abdominal pain.

I was told on the same day. However I assume they only do this before biopsy results when it's an obvious diagnosis. Where things are less obvious then waiting for confirmation from biopsies makes sense however stressful the wait may be.
