any advice be appreciated

  • Hi Meaney, though my primary cancer is prostate it was also in my bowel, tiredness as you call it, also called fatigue is common with certain cancers and the bet way through it is exercise, sorry i don't now what variation  or how many sessions of radiotherapy you will have, but you will find the radiographers the nicest, most helpful and caring people you could wish for and will answer any questions you have. I saw your posts on another forum and like you I am terminal and just wanted to say, i know it is difficult to talk about it, but it really helps and should you want to talk to someone who understands i would be happy to talk, best wishes.

  • Hello and thank you for coming back to us Meaney,

Your radiology appointment will be with a radiology consultant who is a doctor that specialises in radiotherapy. They will go through how this treatment may help you in your current situation with your Neuroendocrine cancer.

Side effects depend on where the radiotherapy is treating in the body. But tiredness is very common wherever the treatment is focused.

Hopefully, you will get more information soon, but in the meantime if you want to give us a call on our helpline to go through anything the number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

    Sarah.
