Hi had my op nearly 2 years ago for melanoma cancer - had tumour removed sentinel node biopsy which they removed so I was told and skin graft all letters recieved to me and my GP was everything good no mention of any cancer found in nodes so for 2+ years nearly thought was good went to hospital for my routine check up on 22/4 24 to be told there was a mistake in correspondence and microgrammes of cancer was found in the nodes but had been removed I’ve had no other checks only on the site where my melanoma was removed so now I’m confused should I have had follow ups to make sure cancer had not spread from the nodes now I’m being told to have a kidney function test done at my GPS and not sure when have a brain and body scan arranged when I don’t know .no other conversation only an apology for the mix up I’m really confused why it’s took so long to find the mistake
