Hello,
I am just looking for a bit of reassurance really as my head is all over the place.
I have a 14 week old son, and in the last 10-14 days roughly he has had a pea size lump appear near the crown of his head of unknown causes. I know that it is extremely rare for it to be a sign of cancer but I can’t help the nagging feeling I have and after going to the GP I am not feeling reassured.
The GP has described the lump as fairly soft, round but it seems to remain in one spot. She believes it could be a reactive lymph node, possibly to my son’s cradle cap. She also said lymph nodes are typically found at the back of the head near the neck so she kind of contradicted her diagnosis as my son’s lump is near the top of the head. I left feeling confused and anxious, she has referred us for an ultrasound but the wait time is weeks and I just don’t know what to do with myself until then.
