Prostate Stage 4 Gleason 9

I’m 3 yrs into my journey. Daily 160 mg Enzalutamide and 2 monthly Decapeptyl injection.

I have mets in L hip joint, pelvis, seminal vessels, lumbar and thoracic spine and ribs (also recently developed Atrial Fibrillation).

I have now got pain in left foot, both knees and shoulder joint.

Oncology said probably arthritis which I find hard to believe……so many places all at once. It is having signifacant effect on quality of life.

Afraid it will spread to my right foot and prevent me driving……..I care for my disabled wife. Can you advise a way ahead?

Hi Mercian, I have advanced prorate cancer Gleason 10 with mets and had a little osteoarthritis before cancer treatment, which has also spread quite a bit since, PS have had atrial fibrillation for a long time and it's usually easy to manage with very little impact on life. best wishes to you and your wife

Hello and thanks for posting,

It is possible to develop osteoarthritis in several places at the same time. Both knees does suggest arthritis.

You can ask your GP to examine you to assess joint mobility, and may be order some x rays to confirm the diagnosis. They can suggest any painkillers that may help.
