I am one week post mastectomy. What can I do to relieve nerve pain across my back and down my arm? Does hot/cold or massage help and is this advisable? Any advice appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Pomme ,did you have lymph removed as well ? I would have a chat with the Breast Nurses , I think nerve pain is quite difficult to control , I had bilateral mastectomies and was advised to do certain exercises and after lymphclearance ,gentle massage up that arm . Also to take Paracetamol if needed . Luckily enough I didn’t really have much discomfort . Don’t really know about hot or cold packs . Best give Breast care a ring ,to be on safe side .
