My dad went into hospital for surgery following being diagnosed with oesophagus cancer. He had 4 rounds of chemo and felt the tumour had shrunk as he was able to eat normally. However when he was opened up for the operation they said the tumour was stuck to the pancreas. So he needs further chemo then they'll look at doing the op again. Does this mean the cancer is spreading. I assumed the cancer would be inside the oesophagus so how does it stick to the pancreas? Any further information so I have a better understanding would be greatly appreciated. Thank you?
