I can try to explain to a degree, but this is complex and needs your referring doctor to place it in context and say what the next steps are for you.

Lymphoproliferative disorders is a broad umbrella term used to describe an increase in white cell activity in the body. This can be due to infection, an autoimmune issue/condition, allergies, or reactions to something. So it can be benign (non cancer) in origin. It can be chronic, and detected in various blood tests. It can also suggest a type of lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). Further tests to establish the cause may, or may not be necessary depending on the situation, and if someone has other symptoms going on as well. Otherwise, blood tests are often repeated at intervals to compare results.
