We need help

My mother in law has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We had a terrible experience. We still waiting for her first oncologist appointment which is this Friday, her journey started 4 weeks ago and the diagnosis is a massive shock. I feel she deteriorated quickly this last week, she on paracetamol is there anything else we can give her. She very breathless, very tired and lethargic ,hardly eating, in pain, we haven’t see dietician. She only eating puréed food. We not really getting any support as of yet.

  • I am really sorry to hear that your mum is so poorly and that you aren’t having any support. So when you were given the diagnosis ,you weren’t given any numbers you can call for any support ? I would give your mums GP a ring and see if they can give her stronger painkillers as well as some supplements that she can take if her appetite is poor.. It’s not really acceptable that you seem to be left in limbo til the oncology appointment. Take care now and let us know how you get on xxx
