No - you get the same appointment whatever the results are as even if the news is good we have lots of questions to ask including “are you sure?”

Thank you Dave- I think I was presuming as the appointment for the results are with the Oncology team that that indicates it’s definitely cancer and he’ll be under their care. But I suppose they can’t have a separate team who deliver the good news - think I’m just overthinking it because I’m anxious. Have to remind myself that nothing is diagnosed yet and nothing is achieved by trying to guess

No worries - I’ve had three cancer scares (different body locations) over the years and I saw a consultant each time, though only once was it bad news.

He did get diagnosis of melanoma and is having wle and slnb on Wednesday. Took a few weeks to adjust but feel relief he’s not having to wait long for next stage

Hopefully the slnb will come back negative. I had melanoma in situ and stage 1 in 2 different moles. I was 20 first time and barely knew it was cancer. The second time was recently, so I decided to change my diet and lifestyle to prevent any recurrence or potential progress. I avoid long exposition to f course but also don't  eat suggar, avoid industrialised products and I since I read the recent studies on cancer I do intermittent fasting everyday for at least 16 hours. I just think that we young people really underestimate melanoma.
