Hi,

I had my smear test today. When the nurse put the speculum in my vagina (she was not gentle at all :( ) and she was about to insert the little brush, she noticed I was bleeding. She took the sample anyway and then she said that the bleeding was not normal unless I was expecting my period. (I am not) I was so nervous and she checked again, this time using a smaller speculum just to check everything was ok?. When I sat down I realized the white tissue placed under me was covered in blood. She gave me a pad and said if the bleeding continues or becomes worse and I don't feel well I should go to A&E... the bleeding stopped completely after a few minutes. I only have a light spotting that I only notice when I go to the toilet and I don't feel unwell. I am just very nervous as she said that was the first time she experienced something like that.  

I am really worried,
