I phoned my doctor pre Christmas as I was feeling a bit off and thought I may be peri menopausal. I had some bloods done and came back with low iron and raised CA125 of 99. I was referred for a pelvic ultrasound which resulted in a thickened endometrium, heterogeneous and atypical in appearance.
I've had another 2 blood tests since mid cycle (as it should be lowest at this stage). They second result lowered slightly to 96 and the third which I received last week had risen to 118.
Gp has just requested a bowel screening now also as I have other symptoms going on there and I've been waiting for a Gyne appointment to have a Hysteroscopy since early Jan. My Gp said she'd contact them to get the appointment hurried along and encouraged me to phone and do the same.
After a couple of phone calls from me the next day they booked me in for end of March. Meaning it's likely going to be April before I hear any results.
This seems an awful long time and the longer I'm waiting the more frightened I'm getting.
