There can be many reasons for lumps and bumps to appear in the body and most will be harmless. As you are at an age where you are going through puberty you will notice many differences to your body, including your balls.

I understand it being a bit embarrassing but I would suggest you try and speak to your mother about this as soon as you can and then she can always speak to your dad and ask him to talk about it with you as well.

As a parent myself of teenagers as well as a nurse I would hate for my kids not to share any worries or concerns with me, it's part of our job as a mum or a dad. Do also remember we were all teenagers once so know how it feels to be your age so rather than thinking about it just do it before it becomes a big elephant in the room.

If they are unsure about the lump or what it could be they can arrange an appointment for you to get it checked by the doctor, who like others have said are very used to assessing this type of thing and putting you at ease, and arrange more tests if needed.

As I say hopefully there is a simple cause that isn't serious but for peace of mind do talk to someone.
