I'm so sorry to hear about your wife's situation and all that you are both facing at the moment. 

Unfortunately, our nurse team is now out of the office for the festive period.

The office reopens on Wednesday 28^th to 30th Dec 9 am to 5 pm. Then closed 5 pm 30th Dec, back on 3rd Jan 2023 to 6th Jan, as normal 9 am to 5 pm.

They will reply as soon as they can but you’re also welcome to contact them on 0808 800 4040 during opening hours.

In the meantime, if you want to talk to someone for some emotional support the Macmillan support line is open 8 am to 8 pm all over the festive period and you can find contact information here.

Hello and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your wife's situation. Waiting for the results to find out the cause of symptoms can be so unsettling. It is not easy being left in limbo, not knowing what the next stage will be.

We do have a page on pain control which you may find helpful to look at. Trying to get on top of pain can sometimes be a challenge as you need to balance getting rid of the pain without making someone feel too drowsy.

I am sorry to hear about the pain that she has been getting in her legs and I do hope that they are able to get on top of it soon. Have a look at our pages on medication here

Her doctors will have thought long and hard about any treatment decisions and I am sure they will be monitoring her regularly once the treatment has finished.
