I'm afraid I don't know why you were told that you would have a LLETZ in four weeks time when the next available appointment is eight weeks away. I can understand why this is bothering you. 

In terms of the waiting times, I have had a quick look at the English colposcopy management guidelines and these say that most people with high grade moderate dyskariosis (cell changes) are meant to be given an appointment with 2 weeks as you were.  But after that it seems to depend on the situation.

Some people who need to have treatment will be treated at their first visit to the colposcopy clinic, others may have a biopsy taken before a decision about treatment is made. It looks like with people who have a biopsy first, the aim is to offer treatment to most of them within 4 weeks and no more than 8 weeks from when the biopsy report is known.  It usually takes several weeks for biopsy results to come back. I know this doesn't exactly answer your questions but I thought the time frames might be useful to know as it seems that some people may be waiting for quite a few weeks.  

I am not sure who you spoke to at the colposcopy clinic, if it wasn't one of the doctors or nurses then it might be an idea to call back and ask to speak to one of them. It is unsettling to be told one thing and then another so I think it is reasonable to want to follow this up and ask for an explanation and reassurance, especially given your circumstances.
