As you have had this assessed thoroughly, then I would not worry about it. It is likely to be a fibroadenoma, and is probably a case of learning to live with it.

Some women are just more predisposed to having fatty breast lumps, such as fibroadenomas. It does not mean that you are at any increased risk of developing breast cancer in the future. 

Obviously, it is important to be generally body aware, and to note any general changes in our bodies, and always get them checked out by a doctor.

Thank you.I went to the docs and she said she'd refer me (non urgently) about removing the fatty tissue under my left armpit. She said asking as the lump hadn't changed in 3 years it would be fine...however, this morning I received a breast clinic appointment. I am unsure why I have received this as she didn't mention this at the appointment, do you have any ideas as to why?

I will ring the surgery on Monday to ask why.
