But only a doctor can make a medical assessment so we always encourage people to make an appointment to see their GP if their symptoms are persisting. Doctors are trained to assess symptoms and can arrange tests if they feel it’s necessary to try to find out what might be going on.

I have the exact same problem as you, but I also have an inflamed lymph node on the left side of my neck, which made me think the lump on my head could also be an inflamed lymph node. 

I hope your problem resolves or that you get your answers from your GP.
