Hi in  a word no it won't spread in that shirt a time. I am 3.5 years post treatment for tonsils cancer and I wentb62 days from being put oncancer pathway to treatment starting . My blog May help you www.RadioactiveRaz.wordpress.com details my experience. 
Good luck remember 90% of urgent referrals turn  out not to be cancer. Being put on pathway  quickest way to be seen.

I am sorry to hear that you have cancer investigations, this must be a worrying time for you.

Cancer is unlikely to spread within a week. Remember that nearly everyone has to wait to be seen with a suspected cancer, and most people will not come to any harm waiting a few days or even a few weeks.
