I was diagnosed with breast cancer last November and after a mastectomy in December I am currently having chemotherapy.  I had the Mirena coil fitted and because of all the conflicting information regarding the coil I decided to have it removed.  Everyone is different but for me I felt that I didn't want something in my body that could conflict with treatment.  There are other methods of birth control  one being 'not tonight I've got a headache ' but seriously it is down to the individual.  I also was advised that my treatment could also bring on the menopause so I opted for the removal.  Good luck and gentle hugs and love xx

I hope you have ways of getting through this.

I am thinking of the Mirena as the enemy so will probably get it removed.

I hope you've managed to get some more information regarding the coil and have been able to come to a decision that is right for you
