Bleeding after an orgasm or after I have wiped

I was on the depo contraceptive injection for 3 years and my last injection was in May 21 meaning my next injection would of been August 21. Since coming off the depo I have noticed I can sometimes (more times than not) bleed after having an orgasm not by penetration this would only be when I wiped after going to the toilet not enough to use a period pad. Also, sometimes after I have been to the toilet there will be blood with sometimes little blood clots again not enough to use a period pad. Does this mean my period could be coming? I didn't have a period or bleed for the whole of the 3 years I was on the injection. I try ring the doctors but can never get an appointment or don't answer the phone. I am really worried, could this be serious as it can only occur at these times?

    I would get it checked out at the doctor's for sure. Most are pretty busy atm,even I'm struggling to get an appointment.

    I am sorry to hear about your concerns.

    Your bleeding may well be the result of stopping the depo contraceptive but of course I can't be sure so do persist in trying to get in touch with your GP. The NHS have produced some information on why women bleed after sex which you can read about here

    Flying Catfish has made a helpful suggestion about using E Consult if you are finding it difficult getting hold of your GP. Have a look at how you can use it here
