Lump in armpit still around after 5 years.

I noticed a lump in my right armpit when I was around 16 years old. GP had a quick look/feel and dismissed it as a swollen lymph node. I quickly forgot about it. I started taking the contraceptive pill when I was 18. I am now 22, and recently discovered what I think is a small lump in my right breast. I'm not sure whether it's just breast tissue and normal but I'm a little concerned because the lump in my armpit is still there too, even after 5 years. Am i over reacting or should I get it checked out? My next pill check is in 5 months.

  • Hi olive it's entirely up to you but I would definitely get checked it won't do any harm. After my diagnosis I would always get lumps and bumps assessed to be on the safe side and encourage others to do so.

Hope you get it sorted and hopefully it turns out to be nothing which many do.
