l was diagnosed with breast cancer last September at the age of 65. Never been ill before so this news was really devastating. After 3 ops to see if I had cancer then a lump ectomy I decided to have a mastectomy. The cancer had not spread anywhere else so it was confined to my breast. I was offered chemo as a precaution to stop it coming back which I finished 3 weeks ago. I am now loosing all my nails and am very impatient to get my hair back not a very patient person I've kept my cancer to myself and close friends and family don't want sympathy just want to get on with my life as best l can. Looking forward to my new life without my breast for now but l will be having surgery to have my breast returned to me sometime in the future. I will get through this for my family and my husband who has been my rock through this and my grandchildren and last of all my son .
