Hi, I'm 62 and a retired Local Government Officer. On 22 October, I had a DRE on my prostrate and was told that it was unusually hard to the touch. I was told that it is more than likely that I have cancer of the prostrate and a biopsy will be necessary to determine how aggressive it is and to see how far it has spread. I've received a letter from the hospital telling me that I have to attend for a biopsy on the 17 December. I'll keep you posted.
