Hi, I’m a 53yr old male from Eastbourne.
I have a T2N2M0 H16+ throat cancer. Primary location took 4 biopsies to nail, ended up in two locations! Back of tongue and tonsil. I have secondary sites on both sides of my throat.
Just finished the first week of chemo radiation. A six week course to do.
Mostly self educated via internet. Equally buoyed and horrified by the info I read.
Biggest feeling I have is guilt for the difficulties I’m bringing for my family. Two kids, 10 & 12yrs old, and of course my wife. Knowing I am on a journey that will almost certainly make life more difficult for everyone around me is blowing my mind.
NHS have been outstanding. Cannot be more grateful or thankful they are there.
